Chỉ định và Liều dùng

Topical/Cutaneous
Skin protectant

Adult: As 6%, 11.3%, 13% cream, 3.8%, 7.5%, 10%, 20%, 40% oint or 9.1% powder: Apply liberally onto affected areas as often as needed.
Child: Same as adult dose.

Topical/Cutaneous
Nappy rash

Adult: As 3.8 %, 7.5%, 10%, 20% oint, 13% cream or 40% paste: Apply liberally onto affected areas as often as needed at each diaper change.
Child: Same as adult dose.

Topical/Cutaneous
Sunscreen

Adult: As 20%, 10% cream or as 14% lotion: Apply liberally onto affected areas (e.g. face, neck) 15 minutes before sun exposure, reapply at least 2 hourly.
Child: >6 months Same as adult dose.

Tương kỵ

In the presence of light, may cause black discolouration with glycerol.

Thận trọng

Children.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Local irritation.

Avoid contact with eyes or use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid long-term sun exposure.

Description:
Mechanism of Action: Zinc oxide is a mild astringent with soothing, protective, and weak antiseptic properties. It provides physical barrier to prevent skin irritation and help heal damaged skin. It also reflects UV radiation and used as a physical sunscreen.
